GOD Pope Benedict claims - God everywhere even behind the BIG BANG. In an assembly of about ten thousands devotees in front of the Vatican City, the Pope asserted that the Big Bang Explosion which resulted in the creation of this Universe was the skilled handiwork of God. The Pope ,however ,did not explain how and where from he got this theory but he put forward some arguments in favour of his theory. These arguments put forward by Pope have undergone changes such as long, long years ago, the then Pope asserted that the Sun moves around the earth which was contradicted by Galileo and he had to go to the gallows for being heretic. Unlike theories in religious scriptures, scientific discoveries go on changing with the passage of time. But Popes also , sometimes , give a twist to their old theories as for example, Pope very recently admitted that actually the earth moves round the sun but alas Galileo was put to death but how can Pope add a page to the so-called holy scriptures by disowning its theories; of course, it is better and the more such sense dawns on Pope the better for humanity. Is this not a u-turn from the Pope? However this is welcome and the more of it the better. Many of the subjects dealt with in the religious scriptures are reflections of the ignorance of the past. Of course, it is not known whether in the past God used to know less and with the advancement of science, God’s knowledge is getting enlightened. According to scientific researches, it took 13.7 billion years for the earth to reach at this stage. The Bible pretends that God took six days to create this earth. The Bible does not speak of the Bing Bang theory By admitting the Big Bang theory, Pope seems to disown the theory of creation of the earth as propounded in the Bible. The Big Bang theory is not full. Some day it might turn out that the Universe is much more bigger than what has been discovered so long.. In future, the Big Bang theory might turn into complete emptiness resulting in another Big Explosion which might create another Universe. Another possibility is that the Universe might go on expanding and expanding soaa much so that its entropy may increase to such an extent that it might become powerless and rendered completely motionless for ever and for ever. The Pope says that science only discovers but cannot explain the significance of such creativity. This is true but it is not the obligation of science to hold out what creativity might bring in. As such, philosophical answers of scientific discoveries are not material to science. The Pope says that creation is beautiful and there is a meaningful wellbeing behind all such creations there is skilled planning behind all such creations. If God is self-born and self active all by himself, then Nature is also self –born and emerged all by itself and acting similarly. Self-emerging Nature is all pervasive what then is the point of bringing unknown and imaginative God behind all these creations blocking the process of thought. Creations, says, the Pope are good. The creator is very adept in all such creations. If so awellbeing is brought by God when earthquakes, tsunami, takes lives and properties in Pompeii, Fhukusiima and in hundreds of other areas. What is the skill of God in inflicting intolerable sufferings to man and women. Meteors strikes earth and take lives Animals kill each other for food, religious wars and other wars take millions of persons and properties What unusual planning and skilled works guided God to create a number of religions and religious scriptures resulting in intense conflicts and killings amongst men. So far we know that the Universe is a conglomeration of Stars full of burning big balls of fire. Every galaxy is full of such crores of Stars and within such Stars, black holes are found and these eat into others all around .Each of such Stars weigh more than 10/15 billion the weight of the sun.. In the Universe such galaxies number in crores. What is the significance of all these? What would be the difference had there been galaxies or no galaxies? Men came to this Universe only a few lakhs of years ago while the Universe came into being crores and crores of years ago. The earth itself threatens to be destroyed within sometimes. The stay of man in the Universe is just a wink only. What is its significance, meaning, purpose?
